According to Tech Times, "Mortal Kombat" creator Ed Boon has teased gaming fans on the possibility of having the rumored "Kombat Pack 2" come to life as posted a photo on his Twitter page with the caption, "Straight Outta KP1, which refers to the characters Tremor, Predator, Tanya and Jason Voorhees.

It was previously reported that the "Kombat Pack 2" for "Mortal Kombat X" may add several characters that were not playable but appeared in the game's story mode such as Baraka, Sindel and Rain.

NetherRealm Studios pointed out that Tremor was the last character to be released for the Kombat Pack 1, which started the whole "Kombat Pack 2" speculations.

Design&Trend reports that a fan tweeted to Boon asking when will they launch a "Kombat Pack 2" for the game to which Boon replied by saying "Uhmm...what are you trying to yell me?"

It is not yet specified as to when will NetherRealm Studios come up with a plan to develop the Kombat Pack 2 not to mention which characters are being considered as playable fighters.

Movie Pilot reports that Fujin, Smoke and Cyrax are the next batch of characters that could be added in "Mortal Kombat X", while Master Herald reportedly claimed that the superhero Spawn could be another guest character in the game since comicbook creator Todd McFarlane was okay with idea of having him in the Mortal Kombat franchise.

Boon also teased that a new game mode for "Mortal Kombat X" dubbed "Jurassic Kombat" could be added as it will feature dinosaurs fighting each other to the death, Vine Report wrote.


The website further adds that launch date of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of "Mortal Kombat X" could happen this month, although NetherRealm Studios did not make any statements regarding the claim.

Yibada also reported that NetherRealm may likely launch "MKX" for the third generation consoles by the end of the year.

"Mortal Kombat X" is currently available in stores for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and for the PC platform.
