The Tim Tebow show is back in the NFL and the 28-year-old made sure that the media and the fans will have something to talk about after the first game of his return.

Tebow executed his trademark rushing touchdown late in the Philadelphia Eagles' 36-10 preseason opener win against the Indianapolis Colts at the Lincoln Financial Field. He also received a standing ovation after his name was called as he entered the game with seven minutes remaining in the third canto, as reported by the Blaze.

The crowd roared so loudly that the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner needed to signal them to calm down as he was about to take a snap out of the Eagles' shotgun formation.

"I was thankful," Tebow told reporters after the game. "But I was also like, 'They (his Eagles teammates) won't be able to hear me! We'll have to go silent.' It's very humbling. It definitely means a lot."

Tebow rushed 15 yards on four carries during the game and passed 69 yards, going 6-for-12 in limited minutes. But he was also sacked twice.

The NFL's official website noted the improvement in his throwing motion that allowed for smoother passes. He was not able to show a lot of it, though, as he spent more time evading the Colts' third and fourth-string defenders as his same third and fourth-string offensive line kept on faltering in front of him.

Indeed, it was a roller-coaster game for Tebow as he showed some crisp passing and good decision-making skills in certain situations while also sometimes holding on to the football too long before making a move resulting in lost yardage.

Chip Kelly's plan to use Tebow for two-point conversions was proven true in this game, particularly after the rushing seven-yard touchdown off a set play that Tebow made.

Despite Tebow's remarkable comeback game, it was apparent that there is still a lot to improve to it especially when it comes to his passing consistency, as per 247 Sports.

What is clear, though, is that the former Florida Gator is arguably the most popular third-string quarterback in the history of the NFL and his legend is only growing by the minute.
