"Dance Moms" alum Cathy Nesbitt-Stein has finally revealed why she, together with her daughter Vivi-Anne, decided to leave the Lifetime series.

Speaking to the International Business Times, the Candy Apples Dance Center coach explained that she was just very busy with her own studio that she did not have time for the reality show. Nesbitt-Stein added that she did not want to leave her clients hanging every time she needed to leave to start filming.

Nesbitt-Stein shared that she never would have imagined that starring in the Lifetime series would change their lives. After watching a few episodes of the show, she said that she just had the feeling that Vivi-Anne would be a "natural fit" for the series.

Nesbitt-Stein first came on "Dance Moms" in 2011. With Vivi-Anne's dry humor and her quick-witted comebacks, it did not come as a surprise that they gained fans immediately. It was said that many fans were disappointed when they decided to leave.

When the mother and daughter tandem left, the executives had no choice but to replace them with Broadway Dance Academy's Jeanette Cota and her daughter, Ava.

Nesbitt-Stein may claim that she had no problems with the casting switch but many cast members were not happy when they found out about it.

"I had to send on somebody that was able to lead the troops," she told the Design & Trend.

"There's not a whole lot I can do when I'm not there and I'm not in LA and Jeanette was definitely a dance teacher, so she stepped up."

"And I know that some of the moms weren't happy with her there because they're very fond of me, but production had to do what they had to do."

Meanwhile, when asked if she would consider returning to "Dance Moms" season 6, the coach revealed that she will be more hands-on this time around. In the past, she was always bringing guest choreographers on set. Nesbitt-Stein explained that she only did that so she also have time to check on her studio. If and when she returns, that will not be happening.

"We weren't winning because these guest choreographers were brilliant, but they didn't understand competition," she told Reality Tea.

"If I came back, and things worked out, I would definitely ask that we continue on doing on our choreography."
