"Deadpool" is seemingly trying to win the hearts of kids and teens by reading Judy Blume. The photo was shared by Ryan Reynolds on his Twitter account, ramping up the promotion for the upcoming film.

The book that Deadpool is reading is "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret." Also seen in the picture is Negasonic Teenage Warhead or NTW (Brianna Hildebrand).

Wade Wilson seems to be trying to understand teens especially since he's hanging out with one. NTW is not only a teenager, she's also a mutant so it's a little more challenging trying to figure out what she's thinking. The funny antihero probably thought that Blume could help him.

The movie is R-rated and will not be viewed (hopefully) by children. Perhaps for franchise promotion purposes such as toys and other merchandise, The Merc with a Mouth is #tryingtoconnect with the younger generation through this pic.

The movie is directed by Tim Miller and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Deadpool's character was created by Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld. He first appeared in "The New Mutants #98."

Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

"Deadpool" will hit theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.
