Tom Hiddleston proves that he can sing in the first clip of his new movie "I Saw the Light." The actor plays the role Hank Williams in the biopic.

Williams is a country singer known for his 1947 hit "Move It On Over." The movie chronicles the story of the Alabama native and his rise to stardom. Along the way, Williams struggled with substance abuse and died at a young age of 29 due to heart failure. He passed away on January 1, 1953.

Hiddleston shared the clip on his Twitter account. It also showed Elizabeth Olsen who plays Williams' wife and manager Audrey Sheppard Williams.

The movie is directed by Marc Abraham and is set to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival today. The film is based on the book "Hank Williams: The Biography" by Colin Escott, George Merritt, and William MacEwen.

Hiddleston, who became more popular for his role as Loki in "The Avengers" movies, did all the singing in the movie. He studied and worked with Grammy winner Rodney Crowell so he could match Williams' signature sound.

The movie will also feature other hits of the legendary country singer such as "Your Cheatin' Heart," "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry," and "Hey Good Lookin'."

In Williams' 16 years in the business, he produced eight No. 1 country singles and numerous classics. In 2010, he was given a posthumous Pulitzer Prize award for his "pivotal role in transforming country music into a major musical and cultural force."

"I Saw the Light" will hit theaters on November 27.
