At the same time, , News.com.au is trying to determine what is ailing Australian TV networks as they struggle to produce shows that has an audience that exceeds one million. Among Channels 7, Nine and Ten, only "Married at First Sight" is the how that raked in blockbuster level of ratings for the year. The show averaged 1.193 million viewers in six episodes which means it will be qualified for another season in 2016.

Other shows that got hit by low ratings are "Gallipoli" and "Restaurant Revolution" which will all be canceled and will not be renewed. One new show, "Peter Allen: Not the Boy Next Door" already debuted and it looks primed for a nice run at the ratings. Channel 7 is hoping it will match last year's success of INXS: Never Tear Us Apart."
