The creator of Metal Gear has been rumored to have been working with the Silent Hill franchise for quite some time now and the announcement came in the form of a PS4 download "P.T."

It's a crafty, creative way to announce the new Silent Hill game and many are eagerly anticipating Kojima's collaboration with the franchise.

The short trailer shows a glimpse of a gloomy, fog-covered city where a lone man walks down the street. Before the man turns up to the camera, Kojima's and del Toro's names appears on the screen before Norman Reedus' face is revealed.

Norman Reedus plays Daryl in the popular Walking Dead TV series.

Apparently, the game's title is still "Silent Hills" and it will be powered by Fox Engine, the same game engine used for Metal Gear Solid 5.

Kojima has been hinting and teasing about this project for quite some time now in his Twitter feed. He even said he wants to make a game starring Ryan Gosling and Norman Reedus.

"Book of Memories" was the last Silent Hill game released in 2012 for Playstation Vita.

The same year, Silent Hill 2 and 3 were released as an HD collection for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
