ASUS recently revealed that it is planning to release the latest Android Marshmallow update for its ZenFone and PadFone.

The Android Marshmallow update is slowly trickling down to all the smart phone brands, and it was high time that an update for ASUS devices was made, Tech First Post reported.

The Android Marshmallow update will come with ASUS' patent Zen UI, according to the Tech Times. For the time being, there is no official roll out schedule for the said devices, but it should be expected really soon. ASUS ZenFone and PadFone owners can hope for an update before the end of this year.

The other ASUS smartphones which are expected to get this update in the near future are the ASUS ZenFone Selfie, the ASUS ZenFone 2 Deluxe, the ASUS ZenFone 2 Special Edition with build number ZE551ML, the ASUS ZenFone, the ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser, and the ASUS PadFone S with build number PF500KL.

Other ASUS device owners will need to wait for the announcement of their device's roll out schedule. It is expected that the recently released devices by the company would be updated with Android Marshmallow.

Android Marshmallow update will bring many changes in the material design of the smart phone. In addition to the update in the Zen UI, the overall UI of the device will also receive an enhancement.

Enhancements in the battery consumption, a fix for device overheating and reduction in touch lag will also be made. Support for finger print scanner, USB Type C connection port, Bluetooth 4.2, and 4G LTE data connection also comes with this update.
