Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Rolling Out For Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo, Galaxy E7, Galaxy S3, And Galaxy S5 Active

(Photo : Reuters) Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update is being rolled out for a range of Samsung devices.

Samsung devices like Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo, Samsung Galaxy E7, Samsung Galaxy S3, and Samsung Galaxy S5 Active will be receiving the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update soon. Most of these devices were either released last year, or early this year, according to Gospel Herald.

According to Latino Post, this update will fix the Stage Fright vulnerability and also bring support for 4G LTE data connection service, finger print scanner, USB Type-C connection port, and many more changes.

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, who are using the AT&T cellular network, are already in the process of receiving the over the air update for Android Lollipop OS. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active device is available in the United States exclusively from AT&T. The update is being sent to  Samsung Galaxy S5 devices with the build number MY47X.G870AUCU2COJ3

The Samsung Galaxy E7 came with Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box and is now upgradable to Android Lollipop 5.1.1 only in India and Sri Lanka. Galaxy E7 users who do not want to wait for the official roll out can manually flash the ROM of their devices and upgrade the phone to Android Lollipop 5.1.1

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is also upgradable to Android Lollipop 5.1.1 now. However, there is no OTA roll out for this device. Users will need to flash their ROM and install the update on their own. The phone needs to be charged up to to at least 50 percent before attempting the upgrade.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users can download OTA or install the update via Samsung KIES. It is only available for specific models. The official OTA is expected to be rolled out within the next few weeks.
