Popcorn Time has overcome the ban by MPAA by being reborn in two new versions, much to the delight of torrent fans.

A new team of Popcorn Time developers recently launched a community edition of the application. The MPAA is constantly trying to bring down  Popcorn Time, according to Torrent Freak. A few weeks ago, the main fork of the Popcorn Time was shut down for the PopcornTime.io domain name, according to After Dawn.

The MPAA evidently took credit for the fall of the site and also announced that it filed a lawsuit against it. A lot of developers backed out following this threat. However, this did not stop the website from being functional again. The developers, who evidently are not easily scared, developed a fix for the .io fork.

Popcorntime.ml was launched this week and it comes with instructions about the process of reviving the .io fork. It also mentions operational installers for the new Popcorn Time Community Edition.

The developers said that they want user to be educated about the new Popcorn Time Community Edition. Even though Popcorn Time Community Edition is only a few weeks old, the new edition has lost two of its main developers.

The community at Popcorn Time expressed sadness about losing the two main developers, but said that will not stop them from keeping the new form up and running.

As they do this, it is evident that they want the MPAA to know that they are not afraid of their lawsuits. In addition to this, they also want the message to be clear that the phenomenon of Popcorn Time is not going anywhere any time soon. The site will probably never go away as the company is taking extreme measures and working really hard to keep it up and running.
