Now that the build has been confirmed to be ready for Sony Xperia Z3 devices, it is safe to assume that it will be released somewhere after Christmas this year, according to Latinos Post.

Sony Xperia Z3 recently received the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop through the official roll out over the air. It happened only a few weeks ago, so the upcoming Android Marshmallow update seems like a Christmas bonus for users. After receiving this update, Sony Xperia Z3 will join a list of non-Nexus devices to be equipped with Android Marshmallow.

In the meantime, an XDA Developers community has released its own version of the Android Marshmallow for Sony Xperia Z3 and Sony Xperia Z3 Plus. The community also mentioned that this upgrade will soon be available for other Sony devices as well.

Sony Xperia Z3 was released back in September 2014 with a 5.2-inch display equipped with an IPS LCD capacitive touch screen. It also features a 20 mega pixel main camera along with a 2.2 mega pixel front camera.

In addition to 3 GB of RAM, the device also sports a non-removable 3,100 mAh battery. The Android Marshmallow update will bring a lot of improvements to the Sony Xperia Z3. In-app permissions, Android Pay, web experience,  app link, fast charging capacity, automatic backup, along with the system UI tuner are the major points covered in this update.
