Fans of "The Walking Dead" who are eagerly waiting for the season 6 episode 9 premiere will have to wait a bit longer. Multiple reports suggest that the next episode, titled "No Way Out" will air next year, Feb. 14, 2016.

Speaking to Melty, executive producer Robert Kirkman said that the mid-season premiere will involve multiple deaths. The showrunner, however, refused to reveal further details.

Co-executive producer Scott Gimple also hinted that fans of "The Walking Dead" are in for one of the weirdest, most heartbreaking episode.

"Episode nine is one of the biggest episodes we have done. Greg [Nicotero] and the astounding cast and crew made magic," he said.

Meanwhile, Huffington Post speculated that Daryl (Norman Reedus) will die in the season 6b premiere. Although it was originally Glenn (Steven Yeun) who was supposed to die in Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) arms, turns out the writers are going in a different direction. The outlet held that a video of Negan beating someone to death has already been linked online.

It also did not help that Daryl was not part of the original comic to begin with. It was also said that the actor has been taking on more projects as of late, including a motorcycle show with AMC.

Following Glenn's fake death, the publication speculated that the AMC series will deviate from the comic entirely. Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes, shared that he literally dropped the script after reading what the writers wrote for episode 9. He said that the plot for the next episode is one of the craziest so far.
