Tech giant Google announced on Wednesday that it is launching the Play Music Family Plan. The subscription based plan will cost $14.99 per month and will allow up to six family members to connect together into a single account and stream music.

The Google Play Music Family Plan is a response to Apple Music which also offers the same subscription based account at the same price. Users who subscribe to the Play Music Family Plan will get unlimited ad-free access to Google's database of more than 35 million songs, according to Droid Life. It also comes with some curated radio channels and also offers simultaneous playback for multiple users.

Google Play Music Family Plan is expected to arrive on the Android and iOS platforms within the next couple of days. Google said that the service will be available first in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany and Australia.

Aside from providing a massive repertoire of music selection, Google Play Music subscribers are also allowed to upload up to 50,000 audio tracks into their own personal library. The tracks are stored in Google's cloud storage platform which means that users can access them anywhere in the globe as long as they have access to the Internet.

The biggest feature of Google Ply Music Family Plan is the inclusion of YouTube Red which is the company's recently launched service that allows users to access YouTube videos without any ads.

YouTube Red also allows users to save videos which can be accessed even when there is no Internet connection. In comparison, Apple Music does supports a considerable amount of music videos. However, it cannot directly compete with the massive music video library of YouTube.

According to Techno Buffalo, aside from the iOS and Android platforms, Google Play Music Family Plan also supports desktop computer browsers.
