Huawei's popular Honor lineup is reportedly making its way into the U.S. market possibly by sometime next year.

During Honor's recent second anniversary celebration in Shenzhen, China, Huawei's Chief Executive Officer George Zhao said the company is expected to announce the Honor brand's entrance into the U.S. during the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas, according to Phone Arena.

The move will make Honor branded smartphones, such as the Huawei Honor 6 Plus and the recently launched Honor 7 handset, available to American buyers.

The Chinese company had made a similar move earlier this year when it brought the Honor brand into the European market, along with the launch of the Honor 7.

Back in November, the Huawei Honor Play 5X smartphone got certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S., indicating this device will also be among the models that will be available in the country.

The latest Honor 7 smartphone, which was launched in July, sports a 5.2-inch IPS-NEO LCD display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. This phone comes with the Android 5.0 Lollipop version operating system, along with the Emotion UI 3.1 on top, according to GSM Arena.

Under the hood, the Honor 7 packs a HiSilicon Kirin 935 processor, 3GB of RAM, up to 16GB/64GB internal memory storage and a large 3,100 mAh battery.

In addition, the handset comes with a powerful 20 megapixel camera on the back and an 8 megapixel camera on the front, both with LED flash. The Honor 7 is available in gray, silver and gold colors. Other specs include a fingerprint sensor and support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Infrared port, and NFC connectivity.
