Game giant Ubisoft officially has launched 'Assassin's Creed Syndicate: Jack The Ripper' DLC with a virtual reality trailer.

The new 'Assassin's Creed Syndicate: Jack The Ripper' game focuses on the infamous killer who operated in the Whitechapel district of London in 1888. Along with trailer, the studio released the brand new trailer with VR support. Since virtual technology is fast immersing nowadays, the developer has created VR teaser trailer for fans to enjoy.

"Nicolas [Bouchet] and I started working on this as a test to see how we could adapt a trailer to offer a true VR experience. Originally, we hadn't planned on releasing it, but the results were so good we had to share it. The Jack the Ripper VR trailer is just a small taste of what virtual reality can bring, both in terms of storytelling and how it can help players go deeper into our worlds," said Adrian Lacey, director of IP development at Ubisoft Montpelier.

This move by Ubisoft shows the continued support and interest in VR technology.

Ubisoft stated in their video trailer description that this trailer is the first of its kind since it features a few Easter eggs hunting and players will discover some new stuff as they explore the environment if they are as wise as Abberline.

The official trailer of the game supports 360 degree VR video which can be viewed via a compatible browser and can be controlled using a mouse or WASD keys. The new trailer also can be viewed using a smartphone with the updated YouTube app that supports 360 degree feature.

Fans, who own a Google Cardboard or similar headgear, can also view the video through the YouTube app for a more immersive experience. In addition, the trailer can also be downloaded on the Gear VR head-mounted display (HMD).

The Jack the Ripper DLC is available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for the price of $14.99. PC gamers will have to wait until next week for further game availability announcement.
