Choosing between the Mate 8 and the GX8 is a tough call as both devices are packed with some great features and bear the trustworthy name of the Huawei brand.

The Huawei Mate 8 smartphone will be available in 30 countries including Australia, Spain, Germany, France, United Arab Emirates and Mexico.

The 3GB/32GB variant of the Huawei Mate 8 will cost 599 euros (4921 yuan) and the 4GB/64GB variant will cost 699 euros (5007 yuan). The device will be available in Champagne Gold, Space Gray, Moonlight Silver, and Mocha Brown colors.

Huawei Mate 8 will also feature Sony's 16 mega pixel IMX298 camera along with an 8 mega pixel front camera. It will be equipped with a battery capacity of 4000 mAh and will run on Android Marshmallow out of the box.

In order to increase its presence in the consumer electronics domain in the US, Huawei has also introduced the GX8 smartphone. The Huawei GX8 is a version of Huawei G8, which was launched earlier and was well-received in other countries. 

Huawei GX8 will be available exclusively at BestBuy.com, GetHuawei.com and Amazon.com for $350 (2300 yuan). The device features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a 5.5 inch display screen. The GX8 is available in Silver, Gray and Gold colors. The phone includes a 3000 mAh battery capacity.

Huawei GX8 is also packed with a finger print scanner at the back. It will run on Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box. The device is expected to soon be updated to the latest operating system - Android Marshmallow.
