"I hope the media and fans treat me like the way they did before instead of giving me too much attention," Zhang said in Shanghai while watching the Australian Open men's singles final with fans on Sunday. "I gave all I had in Australia, especially in the (fourth round) match against Madison Keys. The result worked in my favor because I was not under pressure."

The Chinese tennis star had a spectacular tournament at the Melbourne Park, succeeding three qualifying matches and four remarkable wins in the main draw, where she has beaten series of top tennis players, way above her previous ranking of No. 133.

In the Opening round of the tennis competition, the Chinese qualifier enjoyed a stunning upset victory against the current world No. 2 Simona Halep and backed up her first round triumph with another couple of upset wins.

She defeated the No. 33  French Alize Cornet  6-3, 6-3 in the second round of the majors and the world No. 51 American Varvara Lepchenco bowed to Zhang with a 6-1, 6-3 lose in the third round of the prestigious tennis event.

Madison Key of the United States was also included in the list of her preys, when she outlasted the current world No. 17 and the 15th seed of the tournament 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the fourth round of the prestigious tennis event.

Zhang's next tournament is the Qatar Open in Doha later this month with the Rio Olympic Games also in her plans.
