Unveiled last month, the Oppo F1 weighs about 134 grams and measures 143.5 x 71 x 7.3 mm. The phone features a metallic alloy body "that's softer to the touch", according to Oppo.

The device comes with a 13 megapixel camera on the back and an 8 megapixel front-facing shooter with LED flash, phase detection autofocus capability, a wide f/2.0 aperture lens and a ¼ inch sensor, allowing the device to capture sharp selfies even in low light conditions.

Inside, the Oppo F1 is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8939v2 Snapdragon 616 chipset, accompanied by 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory storage and a 2,500 mAh battery. The built-in memory can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

As for the display, the Oppo F1 sports a 5.0-inch IPS LCD screen with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, and protected by Gorilla Glass 4. The handset comes with the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box, along with the ColorOS 2.1 on top.

Other specs include dual-SIM functionality, support for Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, microUSB 2.0 and USB host connector.

Recently, the Oppo F1 made its way into Australia with a price tag of AU$299. Oppo entered the Australian market back in August 2015 with the release of its Oppo R7 handset. The Chinese company has managed to overtake Samsung and ZTE Corporation back in its homeland where it is currently among the top five smartphone vendors in the country, alongside Huawei, Xiaomi and Vivo.
