Former Heat small forward Michael Beasley, who is currently suited up for the Shandong Golden Stars of the Chinese Basketball Association, is poised for a return to the NBA, but Miami is reportedly not interested in a reunion.

RealGM indicated that the 27-year-old former Kansas State standout "is receiving interest from several NBA teams as he nears his return from China". The report did not mention any specific NBA ballclubs, though, but speculations have emerged that the Heat, his team for four seasons, could be one of those who wants him.

However, Fansided noted that Miami is "not interested in a reunion" with the two-time CBA All-Star Game MVP, saying that "the Heat have brought him back before and didn't quite get the production that they wanted out of him".

Beasley last played in the NBA during the 2014-2015 season in Miami. He averaged 8.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 21 minutes a night in only 24 games for the Heat that year.

He was drafted second overall by Miami during the 2008 NBA Draft and had spent his first two seasons in the NBA with the franchise where he was quite productive averaging in double figures in points in both years.

In July 2010, Beasley was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for two future second round picks in a deal that cleared the Heat's salary cap space as a prerequisite in the formation of the Dwayne Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh Big Three formation.

Beasley played his best season in 2010-2011 as a starter for the Wolves, averaging 19.2 points, 5.6 boards, and 2.2 dimes in 32.3 minutes per game in 73 games.

This season he averaged 31.9 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in helping the Golden Stars reach the CBA playoffs. Shandong was swept by their first round opponent, the Guangdong Southern Tigers, 3-0 during their CBA quarterfinals series.

There were also reports that Beasley has recently rejected an offer to play for Euroleague club Maccabi Tel Aviv because he wanted to come back to the NBA.
