The new snooze option will give users the option to set a specific time or date when they want an email to reappear. Users will have two options in using the new snooze feature, they can either choose to have the email reappear later that week or at the weekend.

Aside from the two abovementioned features, the latest Google Inbox update will also give users the ability to receive a message later in the day or the following week or at a random time in the future.

The update will also allow Google Inbox users to set a predefined date and time on the weekend when they want to receive their message(s). This new feature is useful for users who receive massive amounts of emails and want to filter those that are need immediate attention and deal with the least pressing ones later.

The new feature rolled out by Google Inbox was first popularized by Mailbox, an app which was acquired by Dropbox in 2013 and was recently shut down. The feature eventually made its way to other email applications like Microsoft Outlook.

Google will start rolling out the feature to its user base within the coming weeks.
