Now, the 27-year old actress is taking on yet another challenging role in Nessun Dorma, a film categorized under the psychological thriller genre. Man has admitted that she had some worries and doubts about her role in the upcoming movie.

In Nessun Dorma, Man will be depicting a woman who is a victim of sexual abuse. The character that Man portrays is supposed to have nearly gone insane following an incident which causes her to think that she had been raped.

The character is reportedly subjected to assault as well as being tied naked to a bed - this got Man worried.

"There were many psychological barriers that I had to overcome," Man said in a statement. She explained that she had to think things over after being offered a role in the film. She added that she also needed to meet up with Herman Yau, the director of the film, many times.

Eventually, she accepted the role, not wanting to miss the opportunity.

Man claims that she worried a lot about the movie due to uncertainties of being able to control her role which she described as "complex."

The actress claims that she even suffered from stress and insomnia for weeks. Despite that, Man assured her fans that she got over her anxiety and expressed her hopes to perform the best way she can.

Nessun Dorma, which also stars Andy Hui and Gordon Lam Katung, is scheduled to premiere at the Hong Kong International Film Fest on March 22.
