German auto manufacturer Mercedes-Benz unveiled its latest E-Class sedan models at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show in January. The auto manufacturing has now introduced the Mercedes-Benz E43 AMG, its latest performance oriented sedan.

The Mercedes-Benz E43 AMG reportedly sports a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine capable of outputting up to 396 horsepower and paired with the company's latest nine-speed automatic transmission. The sedan is also equipped with the latest technologies that makes a car go supersonic like the Airmatic adjustable air suspension, dynamic driving modes and the latest speed-sensitive sports steering system.

Mercedes-Benz's AMG division claims that the E43 can accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 4.5 seconds. It also has a limited top speed of 155 miles per hour. Car experts believe that when the speed limiter is turned off, the latest AMG E43 can probably reach a top speed of at least 200 miles per hour considering its powerful engine specs.

In a statement, Mercedes AMG division chief executive officer Tobias Moers said, "The new AMG E43 offers impressive driving dynamics coupled with cutting-edge efficiency. Twin turbo charging, features adopted from motorsport immediately indicate to our customers that the [E43] offers pure Driving Performance coupled with cutting-edge technology and intense emotion."

While the E43 sports the AMG badge, the car is not considered a full-blown track monster. Instead, Mercedes-Benz is planning to market the E43 AMG as a middle sized sedan geared to go against the BMW 550i and Audi S6.

The Mercedes-Benz E43 AMG is expected to be officially debuted before the end of the month at the 2016 New York International Auto Show and is set to hit showrooms in the United States early in 2017.

Mercedes-Benz is yet to release the car's official specs list as well as its price tag. Experts believe that the company will release it once the official debut schedule is near.
