Recent rumors have emerged that Sacramento Kings All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins could finally move to the Los Angeles Lakers in the summer following his recent comments about the Hollywood squad's young players after the two team's recent game.

Reports had been out last offseason about a botched trade between the Kings and Lakers which would have transferred Cousins to LA in exchange for a package that includes the Lakers' Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson plus the team's second overall pick in the 2015 draft that turned out to be Ohio State sharpshooter D'Angelo Russell, but the deal never materialized.

It was then reported to be a dead deal as Sacramento vice president and general manager Vlade Divac as well as team owner Vivek Ranadive is said to be adamant that they will not trade their franchise player under any circumstances and so Cousins stayed even in the midst of speculated tensions with head coach George Karl.

Rumors about Cousins going to the Lakers have surfaced again after the 25-year-old big man "praised" Los Angeles' youthful core of Russell, Clarkson, and Randle in the aftermath of Sacramento's 106-98 victory at Staples Center on Tuesday, according to Sports World News.

The rumor also came in the middle of what said to be a "toxic and irreparable" relationship between Boogie and Coach Karl.

Sacramento was close to firing the 64-year-old bench tactician last month, and there are noises leaking out of the Kings' camp that an eventual separation with the 2013 NBA Coach of the Year will take place in the offseason.

From the looks of things, Karl may not be the only one out of Sacramento, but Cousins as well.

"The whole young (Lakers) core is very talented. D'Angelo is coming along, Jordan is coming along. It's just about time," Cousins said, as reported by Lakers Nation citing the tweet of its reporter Serena Winters.

"It's a matter of time before it's clicking for all three of those guys (DA, JC, Randle). They're going to be a problem," he continued

While in reality the Kings dealing Cousins is still a long shot, especially when he is averaging a career-high of 27.3 points and hauling down 11.4 rebounds per game, it seems like the former Kentucky standout is agreeable if ever Sacramento decides to deal him to LA.
