Italian club SSC Napoli is reportedly willing to sell its resident striker and the 2015-2016 Serie A season's top goalscorer, Gonzalo Higuaín, for a transfer fee of €95 million in the summer.

Caught Offside reported that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis had recently disclosed the amount of Higuaín's release clause to be around €95 million and that the 28-year-old Argentina forward will "only leave the club this summer" if it is met by any of his suitors.

De Laurentiis brought up how Partenopei turned down several clubs from all over the world bidding for the services of Higuaín last summer and that it was a "wise move" for Napoli to not let him go given the team's current state in this season's Italian domestic top flight.

Gli Azzurri is at the second spot of Serie A's league table as of the moment, only three points behind reigning Italian champions Juventus FC with eight matchdays left in the current season.

The club president was adamant, though that he will welcome any offers for Higuaín if anyone is "stupid enough" to pay the gargantuan amount for the French-born Argentina international.

"Some even knocked on my door for Higuaín (last summer), which is why I put that clause in his contract. If someone is prepared to pay €95m for him then we'll see. There's always someone stupid out there willing to try," said De Laurentiis, as per Football Italia.

"I did not put anyone up for sale because I had a new Coach and couldn't afford to reconstruct the team too. We had all the right ingredients for a tasty football recipe. We have revenue of €120 million compared to €380 million at Juventus, so it wasn't easy to keep the players we've got," he added.

Higuaín is leading the Italian first division in goals scored this season with 29 goals in 30 appearances with two assists. He has played a total of 37 games in all competitions for the Naples, Campania residents and have scored 31 times in the process.
