English Premier League club Arsenal FC is reportedly planning to acquire AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca if struggling goal scorer Alexis Sanchez decides to exit the Emirates Stadium in the summer.

Metro noted, citing local reports from Italy, that the Gunners "are eyeing a transfer move" for the 29-year-old Colombia international if the Chilean winger "happens to leave at the end of the season".

It has not been a good offensive season for the 27-year-old Sanchez this year as he only scored seven goals in 21 appearances so far in the English top flight. He scored 11 out of the 28 games he suited up in all competitions for Arsenal, though, which is still lower than his total output from previous seasons.

Sanchez is currently in his second season with the Gunners and he had netted 25 goals in 52 appearances during his first season with Arsene Wenger's squad. Prior to that, he had 21 goals in 54 games for FC Barcelona in La Liga back in the 2013-2014 season.

Meanwhile, Bacca is still in his same old form with Siniša Mihajlović's squad this season, his first since being transferred from Spanish club Sevilla FC for €30 million last summer, scoring 14 goals in 30 games in the Italian Serie A and 16 in 34 appearances in all competitions, as per Caught Offside.

The 5-foot-11 Puerto Colombia native netted 20 times in 37 domestic games during his last season with the Sevillistas in La Liga while having 28 goals in 56 games overall.

The report also noted that "Bacca has scored at least 12 league goals in ten of his 11 professional seasons and has scored at least 20 in five of his last seven", which indicates his consistency all throughout the years, something that may have caught the eye of Arsenal and Wenger.

Aside from the Gunners, Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea are also reportedly targeting the Bacca this summer. Recent reports are out that Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have also entered the race for the services of the streaking Colombian.
