(Photo : Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images) The price of a new 13-inch MacBook Pro is dirplayed during an Apple special event at the historic California Theater on October 23, 2012 in San Jose, California.

While some could have been excited already for the supposed arrival of MacBook Pro 2016 with detachable touch screen, a recent rumor claimed that this sounded impossible.

Tech Radar emphasized, though, that an upgrade to MacBook Pro is really arriving this year but changes would only be imminent in its anticipated processor(Skylake) and some other specs.

It can be recalled that the 13-inch MacBook Pro Retina was last updated in March 2015 and the 15-inch models two months after.

As to the possible release date of the highly-awaited Apple notebook, the tech site speculated that there is a big chance that it will be by June this year during the tech giant's annual developer event, the WWDC.

The latest MacBook Pro 2016 rumors further hinted that since MacBook Air models will possibly come out this spring or summer season, Apple deciding to have the former's launching in June is actually a good move for the company.

Meanwhile, when it comes to its rumored cost, it is expected that the next generation of Apple's professional notebook will likely cost £899 (or around $1,264/AUS$1,670) for the 13-inch non-Retina variant, £999 ($1,119) for the entry-level 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro, and £1,999 ($2,099) for the 2.5GHz 15-inch Retina.

In the meantime, relative to its specs, the upcoming new unit is said to boast "fitter, happier, more productive" features.

It can be noted that the present MacBook Pro unit is "fairly porky" because of several ports like the twin Thunderbolt 2 and USB 3, an HDMI socket and an SDXC card slot. But with the introduction of USB-C, it will be much thinner.

Keep posted for more MacBook Pro 2016 rumors, including its release date and specs.
