Nexus 6/Nexus X Release Date: Nexus X Specs and Android L in AnTuTu

The new leaked benchmark photos of the Nexus 6 or Nexus X confirm the rumored specs of the highly-anticipated Google device including the 2K display, 2.7 GHz Snapdragon APQ8084 chipset processor, 3 GB of RAM, Adreno 420 GPU and a 13 MP rear camera.

However, while the benchmark photos look authentic, critics doubted its credibility because the Nexus 6's low benchmark score of 35,430 in AnTuTu did not match with the powerful Snapdragon 805 processor. Whether or not the images are true, the revealed AnTuTu result on impressive hardware information still counts amidst Google remaining silent on the matter. According to the AnTuTu benchmark, the Nexus X stock device will feature a quad-core Snapdragon chip which is clocked at 2.7 GHz with a 3 GB of RAM. It also claims of a 32 GB internal storage.

Meanwhile, the major changes in Android L, particularly the new Material Design layout suggests that Google will move from Android 4.4.4 to Android 5.0 L instead of a mere Android 4.5. Google did not confirm this at the Google I/O event, though. Recent reports also suggest that Android L stands for Lemon Meringue Pie or LMP.

GFXBench also leaked some benchmark results for the Nexus X or Nexus 6 or Motorola Shamu from its Manhattan graphics test. The Nexus 6 reportedly scored 11.5fps, a bit below the HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5 but in the same level as the OnePlus One and even faster than the LG G3 and Sony Xperia Z2. Google promised a more optimal mobile device with the Android 5.0 L or LMP and even with many unconfirmed benchmark leaks going around, it only shows that the device will keep up with expectations.
