It assumes the Nexus X or Nexus 6 will compete with the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 phablet head-on.

The report suggests Google and Motorola are working on two smartphones, with a regular-sized one at 5.2-inch being called the Nexus X. The second phone will have a large 5.9-inch screen panel which is currently called the Motorola Shamu or Moto S.

There were previous reports the Moto S could be the first Android Silver handset, as well.

The Nexus X will sport a quad-core 2.7 GHz Snapdragon chip with 3 GB of RAM; a 13 megapixel rear camera with UHD video recording; a 2.1 megapixel front camera; 64 GB of internal storage and a starting price of US$500, according to TKTechNews.

With these specs, the Nexus X appears to be a match for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 which is powered by a combination of a 64-bit A8 processor and iOS 8.

A similar listing also appeared on AnTuTu, showing an Adreno 420 GPU. TKTechNews also said the Nexus 9 or Nexus 8 will have a 64-bit ARM processor.

The Android OS will be powered by Nvidia's dual-core 2.5 GHz Denver Tegra K1 CPU.

The Nexus 6 or Nexus X release date could be in October 2014 while the Nexus 8 or Nexus 9 will be launched around November.
