Tired of holding that selfie stick or having problems getting that perfect selfie without somebody to help? Chinese startup Zero Zero Robotics has the solution for that: a little flying selfie drone named “Hover.”

Hover is a small drone poised to take on the commercial camera drone market, although primarily meant for selfies instead of aerial photography and filmmaking, reports the South China Morning Post. Unlike other drones sold in the market, Hover is a small drone that can be kept inside backpacks or pretty much any bag.

Hover comes in a folded form the size of a small paperback novel when not in use. When unfolded, users will find a small camera at the center, sandwiched between two panels that contain two propellers enclosed in a cage. It measures relatively small, at only 22 cm long, 18 cm wide and 3.6 cm thin, even when fully opened.

Worried about its durability? Zero Zero has that covered: the Hover Camera’s whole frame is made up of carbon fiber and metal, notes Digital Trends. It weighs in at about 8.5 ounces of weight, which makes it very light. Because of these specifications, users can just throw it in the air for a quick takeoff, and need not worry if it ever crashes because its sturdy body will absorb the impact.

Despite the light and small frame, the Hover Camera is capable to taking 12-megapixel photos and 4K video. It is also capable of precisely following a user through facial recognition while avoiding obstacles by using what Zero Zero calls an artificial neuron network technology, which is executed through Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Flight platform.

Zero Zero plans to start a beta program for the Hover Camera, and has already made 2,000 units for it, The Vergereports. Although the price is still unknown as of the moment, what is known is that it will be up for preorder later this year.
