Following after the success of “Miitomo,” Nintendo now wants to bring two of its titles into the smartphone market, namely “Fire Emblem” and “Animal Crossing.”

Nintendo made an announcement last year that it will be joining the ever-growing smartphone app market, and introduce applications that will help further its brand in today’s gaming world, reports Attack of The Fanboy. Nintendo’s first move in that endeavor, the social app titled “Miitomo,” has given the company a good start.

Now, Nintendo said it plans to bring “Fire Emblem” and “Animal Crossing” to smartphones. This is confirmed by Nintendo’s posts in social media website Twitter.

Although Nintendo said earlier that it will not merely port the titles into smartphones, it is believed that they will still give players an experience unique to the handheld version. But if ever they become actual games, both titles seem fit for mobiles since both are easy to handle, and do not require precise actions at fast speeds.

Both titles will be very different from “Miitomo,” which is basically a social app that provides indirect interaction between users. “Fire Emblem” is a game that will catch the attention of players who love strategy and role-playing games (RPGs), while “Animal Crossing” on the other hand is a cute, colorful game that can be enjoyed by the whole family, notes Android Headlines.

Wise Decisions

Nintendo’s foray into the smartphone market is apparently a wise decision. After all, the company will still take some more time before releasing the highly-anticipated NX console, which is hoped to be a profitable successor to the disappointing Wii U. It will reportedly release March next year.

Aside from that, Nintendo has also announced the release date for the delayed “Legend of Zelda” game for the Wii U. With delays and low sales profits from its consoles, Nintendo has made a good decision to make the most of the growing smartphone market.
