The rumor sparked after a Thurrott blogger, Brad Sams, exposed that the company is going to uncover a new hardware at the said tech event. According to the blogger, the information was given to him by individuals working within Microsoft. He added that the new hardware might be an updated Xbox One Elite, or an Xbox One Slim.

Sams also exposed that a new controller might be unveiled as well, wherein an estimated price of the controller was also provided. He said that a basic controller would cost about $60, while an elite controller may cost around $80, cites Techno Buffalo.

With all the rumors about the upgrade of Sony and Nintendo's new hardware, speculations are pointing out to a possibility that the new console of Microsoft will be able to compete with its rivals, as it may feature a 4k or an 8k resolution display.

Nevertheless, Microsoft's new hardware still remains unconfirmed. Perhaps, in the coming months, or during the E3 event this June, more news about the company's new Xbox One console might come out.
