‘High School Musical 4’ Cast Updates: Find out Which Former Cast Member Wants to Return and who Replaces Vanessa Hudgens

High School Musical 4 is truly happening, and fans are currently wondering who will be the new cast members in the upcoming teen romantic comedy. While leads Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, obviously need to pass on the baton, there are a few roles that might not need changing. One of those is the role of the head coach of the East High Wildcats.

Bart Johnson has expressed his intent to return as Coach Bolton, even uploading a 50-second video on YouTube with the song 'Now or Never,' playing in the background. He delivered the line, "Hi, it's Jack Bolton and I'm auditioning for 'High School Musical Number 4' for the role of Coach Bolton."

Although that was his only line in the video, he had a few words to share in the caption. Johnson revealed that he is yet to hear from the production of High School Musical 4 with regard to whether he is going back as Coach Bolton or not. Therefore, he is making it a mission to audition again and post a few more online videos to ensure his spot in the Disney film.

Johnson had a message for those aiming to get cast in the movie. "Don't doubt yourself. No one auditioning for 'HSM' is any better than you are so why not just go for it. You might be EXACTLY what they are looking for and worst case scenario is that you went for! You took your shot! You can't say you didn't try," Johnson said. "You will be a better person for going for it and you will probably have some good laughs getting it done. So have fun. Go for it. Let me see that Wildcat spirit and if you get the job we will hang out on set and eat all the free food you could ever imagine. GOOD LUCK!!!"

As for who replaces Vanessa Hudgens, although auditions are still taking place, Gabriella Montez might be played by Merit Leighton. Leighton is known for her role in 'A Tiger's Tail,' as well as being the voice of Lucinda in the TV series 'Sophia the First.'

Although video auditions ended on May 2, nothing has been confirmed yet. The open call auditon for High School Musical 4, on the other hand, will be on May 15.
