Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly planning a £20 million reunion with former player Adam Lallana this summer as the team targets the Liverpool winger in the upcoming transfer window.

Lallana was one of Pochettino's most favorite players during the latter's one-and-a-half season stint with Southampton FC from January 2013 to May 2014. The 28-year-old Englishman had one of his most productive spells during that time, scoring 10 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions during the 2013-2014 season.

The Sun reported that the 44-year-old Argentine mentor is set to "ask chairman Daniel Levy to make the Liverpool midfielder his No. 1 target when the window opens" as Pochettino is eager to integrate him to his rotation for another Premier League title challenge next season.

The report also mentioned that "it will be the second time Pochettino has tried to land" Lallana after failing to buy him in the summer of 2014 when he first arrived in Tottenham.

Meanwhile, Caught Offside indicated that the 5-foot-8 St Albans, England native "hasn't always impressed at Liverpool" since transferring from Southampton to the Merseyside in 2014 for a fee of £25 million and it is not clear whether Jürgen Klopp would want to keep him next season.

In his second season with the Reds, Lallana has again underachieved by scoring only four goals in 29 contests in the English top flight competitions. He has seven goals in 47 appearances in all competitions this season, only a one goal improvement from his numbers of six goals in 41 games last year.

Klopp is reportedly keen on reshaping his roster in all positions according to his preference and it is anticipated that the Anfield residents are going to be very busy during the summer transfer window.

Speculations abound that the German manager wants Bundesliga's Mario Götze and Marco Reus to star in his midfield moving forward, and so the likelihood of Lallana staying in Liverpool next season is actually quite slim.
