New reports suggest the release date of the large-sized iPhone 6 measuring 5.5-inch will be delayed.

Early this year, reports from Chinese sources claimed that Apple will launch the larger iPhone 6 variant as the iPhone Air, in line with the iPad Air and MacBook Air with its ultra-slim profile. Reports suggested the iPhone Air will be trimmed to between 6 mm to 7 mm.

Many already know the iOS 8 and OS X 10.10 Yosemite will launch during the Sept. 9 event, and since it's also that time of the year, a new iPhone is also expected.

Russian YouTube tipster Rozetked created a 4.7-inch dummy iPhone 6 with the use of parts taken from its production line.

Supporting previous leaks, the device has its power and volume buttons on its smooth edged sides. The Apple logo on the Phone's rear is made from a corrosion and scratch resistant alloy.

The system board houses an updated A8 processor and NFC module. NFC is used by different transit payments but Apple could also have agreements with American Express, Mastercard and Visa.

Sapphire glass is consistently reported as being on the next-gen flagship iPhone 6.

This material is stronger than Corning's Gorilla glass. Apple had used this material previously in protective disks for the touch ID home buttons and camera lenses.

The iPhone 6 price depends on the glass since Sapphire is seven times more expensive than Gorilla glass. According to experts, the iPhone 6 is going to be at least US$100 more expensive than the iPhone 5S.
