Cities and states that were chosen as the movie's locations are quite positive on the outlook of the fifth film. Jenell Leonard, Commissioner of the Michigan Film and & Digital Media, was also glad that Michigan was one locations that were chosen. He states in ComingSoon.net:

"Having one of the highest-profile film franchises created in Michigan is a major economic boost and a testament to the talent of the state's production community. The production and economic investment is now happening sooner rather than later, and obviously, the project is a certainty rather than merely a possibility."

Reports have also confirmed that Michael Bay will continue his involvement in the franchise. Bay will return to the Director's seat, while Paramount has also confirmed that the fifth instalment will be titled "Transformers: The Last Knight."
