Perennial powerhouse Shandong Luneng Taishan FC (2-5-3, 9 points) is struggling to find wins in the 2016 Chinese Super League season even while they are succeeding in the AFC Champions League. They will try to improve their standing as they face another reeling squad, Beijing Guoan FC (2-4-4, 10 points) at the Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium on May 29, Sunday.

Shandong Luneng, who is on a five-game winless slide, is at the 12th spot of the current league table, only a point above the bottom two relegation zone presently occupied by Liaoning Whowin and Changchun Yatai.

They have only managed to gain two wins in the current term so far after 10 rounds, which is unfamiliar for the regular contending squad.
