Meanwhile, Gregg spoke to Entertainment Weekly about Phil's fate in "Agents of Shield" season 4.

"He's not the director anymore. His destiny is not so much in his own hand as it used to be. The person he cares about is on the run and seems to be very sought after by the authorities. It's very much changing the game for Coulson. Certainly from that teaser of where we'll be next season, he does not seem to be in good shape," he said.

In other news, "Agents of Shield" is expected to introduce a new director, but as of late, it is still unclear who will assume the big role.

Some fans weighed in on who they think should be given the title and wrote their comments on TV Line's site.

At least five fans of the ABC series think it would be nice to see Grint Ward become the new director.

Others want the title to be given to Sharon Carter or May.

One fan seconded the possibility of May becoming the new director, but added that it's also possible that Hill will become the new director.

"Agents of Shield" season 4 will premiere on ABC sometime this fall.
