For gamers in the UK who have been eagerly awaiting for updates on "Pokémon GO's" release date, your long wait might soon be over!

The Pokémon company and Nintendo have announced that they will be holding two key events during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), which will provide more details on the highly-anticipated augmented-reality game (AR), according to PC Advisor.

E3 is considered the world's premier trade show for computer, video and mobile games and related products.

Based on the latest information from The Pokémon Company, a "Pokémon Go" Q&A session has been scheduled on June 15, at 10am PT/1pm ET/6pm UK/7pm CET.

A live stream of the activity has been confirmed for NicoVideo in Japan.

On the other hand, a "Pokémon" Special will kick of the following day, June 16, at 7am PT/10am ET/3pm UK/4pm CET.

It is still uncertain whether major announcements will be made by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company on the release date of "Pokémon GO" in the UK and other parts of the world.

But European followers of the highly-popular Japanese gaming franchise hope that more details on the game will be disclosed during the E3.

"Pokémon GO" is an innovative mobile game that is currently being developed by The Pokémon Company and Niantic for Android and iPhone devices.

"For the first time, Pokémon will roam free in the real world," John Hanke, founder of Niantic, said in describing the game's features. "Pokémon GO will allow players to capture Pokémon who inhabit parks, shopping areas, sidewalks and the countryside all around the world."

According to Neuro Gadget, beta-testing for "Pokémon GO" had already started a few months ago, which may have fueled rumors that the game would be rolled out sooner than expected.

Japanese players first got their hands on the beta version last March, which was made available to users in Australia and New Zealand in April, and was finally opened to U.S. gamers in May.

Niantic revealed that it is learning a lot from the feedback it has been receiving from the game's beta testers,

The gaming developer said that the testers "have done a great job of guiding" the developers."

In its official blog, Niantic announced that "it's getting closer" and that they're "anxious and excited to share" their creation with "Pokemon" fans and games across the globe.

Now that their Australian, Japanese and New Zealand counterparts have sampled "Pokémon GO's" gameplay, the turn of UK gamers may be coming soon as they wait the game's official release date.
