The Boston Celtics are reportedly trying to deal the third overall pick of the 2016 NBA Draft to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for All-Star shooting guard Jimmy Butler.

Amidst rumors that the Minnesota Timberwolves are offering their fifth overall pick to the Bulls for Butler, another interesting speculation has emerged that the Celtics also "have trade interest" in the 26-year-old two-time NBA All-Star, according to CBS Sports.

The report then mentioned that Chicago is "highly intrigued" about drafting Providence's Kris Dunn, said to be the best point guard in today's crop of draft prospects and is projected is a top three to five selection in the coming draft next week.

There are also speculations that the Bulls may look to trade former MVP and main man Derrick Rose this offseason as they are getting ready for a rebuild without him. Rose is set to become an unrestricted free agent next summer and there is no guarantee that he would stay in Chicago and so the Bulls may be acting early instead of losing him for nothing next year.

With that, the team will definitely need a new man at the number one guard spot, which could explain their interest on Dunn.

Meanwhile, CSNNE noted that the Celtics are "aggressively shopping the no. 3 pick" before draft night. The report said that Boston is "working busily" in trying to trade their lottery selection rather than determining who are they going to choose on June 23.

The Celtics are intending to snag a "difference-making, impact player right now" and not another rookie and so they are willing to part ways with their top pick this summer.

The article said that Boston is targeting Kevin Durant and Jimmy Butler foremost, but there are no indications whether the two players would be willing to leave their respective clubs to join the Celtics next season.

"We're talking about (Kevin) Durant, we're talking about Jimmy Butler, those type of players," revealed CSN's Celtics Insider A. Sherrod Blakely. "And those guys are going to be at the top of their wish list until those guys say, 'We don't want to come to Boston.'"
