Belgium will take on the Republic of Ireland in a Group E encounter at the ongoing UEFA European Championships 2016 at Stade de Bordeaux in the French city of Bordeaux on Saturday. Meanwhile, Iceland will face Hungary and Portugal will take on Austria in Saturday's two other matches of the tournament at Stade Velodrome in Marseille and Parc de Princes in Paris respectively.

The Belgium team, which began their Euro 2016 campaign with a 2-0 loss to Italy, will be hoping to bounce back in tournament. Emanuele Giaccherini and Graziano Pelle scored one goal each as Italy defeated the young and inexperienced Belgian team in a Group E encounter at Stade de Lyon on Monday.

Belgium coach Marc Wilmots defended his players especially Kevin de Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku. "We were too compact in the first half for an hour, then we conceded the (first) goal from a ball over the top, that was an individual mistake, clearly. De Bruyne and Lukaku didn't have the best of nights, but I don't want to criticize individuals," Wilmots said, according to AFP.

Ireland, on the other hand, played an impressive 1-1 draw against Sweden in their Euro 2016 opener at Stade de France on Monday. A brilliant Wes Hoolahan strike helped Ireland to secure thee lead early in the second half, but, Ciaran Clark's own goal in the last 20 minutes ensured the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
