Similarly, Goku will discover in the upcoming episode that someone who looks like him is terrorizing the future. He is not sure whether they have the same powers.

The trailer for episode 49 reveals that Black Goku managed to track the present timeline and location of Future Trunks. He prepares to pursue him for the ultimate fight.

The promo reveals that Black Goku will find his way to the present, indicating that Goku will eventually meet his evil partner in the episode 49. It is unclear whether Black Goku knows about the existence of Goku, but the latter was not aware until the arrival of Future Trunks.

Black Goku is now in the same timeline as Goku and the rest; therefore, episode 49 might be the beginning of a great fight that will involve the two villains, Future Trunks, and Vegeta. Dragon Ball Super episode 49 might give insights on the similarities between Black Goku and Goku.

Fans will also be treated to the irrational desire of Black Goku to eliminate the Saiyan race.

There is no information on who Black Goku is or his origin. However, the villain is proving to be the strongest and most dangerous that heroes have ever met.
