The Sabahan warrior princess was able to wi the women's flyweight contest in less than 240 seconds of the opening round of the MMA bout. Although the Egyptian fighter put in some good work with an aggressive start to overpower Osman, the Malaysian managed to force Haiat to a submission with a crafty arm bar, according to Astro Awani.

After eight long months of being away from the highly competitive sport, Osman, 30, has improved her professional record to four victories and two defeats. Osman has been missing-in-action since October last year after suffering a first-round technical knockout against Irina Mazepa of Russia in Kuala Lumpur.

According to New Strait Times, Haiat is new to MMA. The ONE Championship bout against Osman is only her second appearance in the cage. The 34-year-old Egyptian, however ,was a successful wrestler and had represented her country in the sport at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. Haiat's professional record now stands at one win and one loss.

"There was not much footage of her which we could look at prior to the fight so the plan was to go in and study her game for a while," Osman said referring to her opponent after the MMA match. "We knew she had an extensive wrestling background and she came out very strong early in the fight. I just tried to keep calm and weather the storm. I kept my composure and when I saw the opportunity, I took it and obviously am happy to get this win."
