A house listed for sale has a hefty price tag of one billion yuan ($150 million).

China is known for its wealth and extravagant tastes, and this expensive home is not a surprise. The 6725sqm estate, which was listed on real estate website Mansion Global in June, is located in Suzhou, China, just 100km northwest of Shanghai. Suzhou is well-known for its private gardens, which have been recognized as World Cultural Heritage sites.

The extravagant home has quite a unique name; “taohuayuan” which symbolizes “utopia” or “paradise.” It comes with a view overlooking the Dushu Lake, China’s biggest lake. According to Shanghaiist, the property features a mist-covered pond, while stone paths and bridges allow movement around the traditionally landscaped property, a swimming pool, and enormous wine cellar.

The house, also described as a garden home, loos more like a hotel than a home, according to Stuff.co.nz. It comes with 32 bedrooms and 32 bathrooms. All the main rooms are facing south to maximize the sunlight. It took over three years to construct the house, which features handcrafted bricks and extensive landscaping. It is in the style of a traditional Chinese home with upturned roofs and a courtyard-style layout.

Even with its huge selling price, there are reportedly many interested parties. The property has allegedly also attracted some attention from overseas buyers.

“There are quite a few overseas clients who have showed their interests in this unique property,” said listing agent Juan Zhao Feng at Beijing Sotheby's International Realty.

However, this expensive villa is not the most expensive property in China. In 2015, Chinese business magnate Jack bought a home located at The Peak in Hong Kong for about 1.29 billion yuan ($193 million).
