Henan Shendian Laojiu Routs Guangxi Weizhuang Rhinos in 19th Round of the Chinese National Basketball League

Henan Shendian Laojiu continued their winning run after demolishing Guangxi Weizhuang Rhinos in a lopsided 111-87 triumph in the 19th round of the Chinese National Basketball League (NBL) on Sunday night.

With the win, Henan has improved to a 13-6 win-loss record and stretched their winning streak to an impressive six-straight games in a row since handing the league leader Shaanxi  Xinda Wolves its first defeat on June 29. Henan now sits on the third place of the 14-club team standings - just four games behind league leaders Anhui and Shaanxi and one game ahead of the fourth-ranked Beijing Dongfan.

According to Asia-Basket, former NBA forward Earl Clark finished the game with an outstanding production of 36 big points and eight boards to lead Henan to the win. The former University of Louisville Cardinals player went 15 for 27 from the field including six booming three-pointers from beyond the arc in 42 minutes on the court.

Former University of Memphis Tigers standout Darius Washington added an amazing triple-double game production of 35 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists for the victors. Domestic players YuXing Yang contributed 18 points and pulled down 10 boards for Henan, who will be facing Beijing Dongfan in the next round on Wednesday.

Henan out-rebounded the opposing team 44-25 and moved the ball much better as they posted a total of 20 dimes compared to the 14 assists of the Rhinos, who suffered their eighth loss in nineteen games played this season.

Chinese big man Jei Li paced Guangxi with team-high 22 points while American forward Tony Mitchell had 14 points and 10 boards. Guangxi is set to play Luoyang in the 20th round of the regular season.

According to NowGoal, Henan entered the final period of the match with a comfortable 21-point lead 86-65. The winners continued to pound Guangxi with a 27-25 charge in the fourth quarter and sealed the victory.
