Chinese tech giant Huawei has announced that its latest powerful device - the Huawei P9 smartphone - will be available in India starting August 17. The smartphone was initially launched in China in April featuring a dual 12-megapixel main camera with Leica SUMMARIT lenses.

The Huawei P9 smartphone features a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display screen. The device is powered by the company's HiSilicon Kirin 955 octa-core processor. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box along with Huawei's Emotion user interface on top.

The Huawei P9 smartphone is available in two models - one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory storage, and another with 4GB of RAM and a massive 64GB of internal memory. The internal memory of both models of the device is expandable of up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD cards slot.

The Huawei P9 smartphone sports a 12-megapixel main camera with dual-rear camera setup and a dual-tone LED flash support. It an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies and video calls. The device comes with a 3000 mAh capacity battery, which supports fast charging. The smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor at its back panel.

The connectivity options of the Huawei P9 include 2G / 3G / 4G Network support, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C.
