The upcoming $400 TCL 950 smartphone from Chinese-based company Alcatel has been spotted on the website of Chinese telecommunications certification authority (TENAA).

According to Android Headlines, the $400 TCL 950 smartphone appeared in May on the GFXBench benchmarking website. According to the GFXBench listing, the device features the Android 6.0.1 operating system, a 5.5-inch full high-definition display with a high resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset clocked at a speed of 2.1 GHz, Adreno 530 GPU, 3.7 GB of RAM and 52 GB of internal storage, a 21-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.

According to the TENAA listing, the TCL 950 smartphone has a 5.5-inch full high-definition AMOLED display, Liliputing reported. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of built-in internal storage that can be expandable up to 128 GB via a microSD slot. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset clocked at a speed of 2.15 GHz. It runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. It weighs 165 grams. It is 153.9 mm tall and 6.9 mm thick. The device is packed with a 3000 mAh battery and can store up to 1000 contacts with 900 MHz and 1800 MHz band support. It comes with sensors such as light, proximity, and gravity.

The design of the upcoming TCL 950 smartphone is similar to that of the Alcatel Idol 4S that was announced back in February with a 5.2-inch 1080 x 1920 AMOLED touchscreen display powered by a 1.4 GHz chipset along with 3 GB of RAM and a 16-megapixel camera at the back.
