Scottt Quigg aims to finish Stephen Jamoye in style this coming Saturday in order to move forward and settle things with long-time rival, Carl Frampton.

Quigg said that a showdown between him and the newly-crowned IBF superbantamweight champion makes perfect sense. According to the 25-year-old Lancastrian, the bout between them would be the biggest fight in British boxing.

"That fight should happen next, or if it can't because of mandatory defences, it should happen next year without a doubt," said Quigg.

He also said that he's looking forward to fight The Jackal at the Old Trafford or the Etihad Stadium in Manchester next summer.

"It will make more money if it was held at one of the two football stadiums in Manchester than anywhere over there (in Belfast)," added Quigg.

Quigg confidently claimed that he aims to make a statement with his upcoming title defense with Jamoye.

"Preparations are going very well. Training couldn't have gone any better. I feel like I've been improving in the gym since the last fight, working hard and practicing," said the WBA superbantamweight title holder.

"The pressure, when you're at this level, it's a potentially massive fight with me and Carl," added Quigg. "It does bring pressure but I thrive on that and that's why I'll go out there on Saturday night and show why I believe I'm top dog."

"Once I've taken care of Jamoye, I'm ready for that Carl Frampton fight. 100 percent."

The Jackal defeated Kiko Martinez in his hometown of Belfast in front of 16,000 fans. His next opponent is more likely to be title challenger American Chris Avalos. However, Frampton has expressed his desire to fight Quigg.

Frampton and his manager, Barry McGuigan has made it clear that they are in control of any upcoming fight negotiations, further claiming that they still have other options.
