(Photo : Getty Images) OnePlus has shut down rumors that it is manufacturing a device dubbed as the OnePlus 3 Mini.

Rumors have been circulated online suggesting that a new smartphone has surfaced on the benchmarking website GFXBench bearing similarities with the OnePlus 3, except for its screen size. The smartphone was dubbed as the OnePlus 3 Mini. However, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has said that the rumor is false. He replied to a story on the topic on Twitter with a "No" and the hashtag #rumorshutdown.

Pei's reply could mean that there is no such phone, but it could also mean that the smartphone is just not manufactured by OnePlus. It could point to a different Android phone made by a different smartphone OEM but with the same specs as the OnePlus 3.

According to NDTV, the GFXBench listing showed a smartphone which sports a 4.6-inch full HD display, powered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC clocked at 2.2 GHz and an Adreno 530 GPU. According to the listing, the device has 6 GB of RAM with 64 GB of internal storage. It comes with a 13 MP rear camera which can capture 4K videos and an 8 MP front snapper for video calls and selfies. The mystery phone runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has NFC for Android Pay with a single SIM slot.

OnePlus recently announced its decision to halt sales of the OnePlus 3 to keep up with an unexpectedly high demand. Starting Tuesday, 23 European countries will stop selling the OnePlus 3 for more than a month to afford the company some time to replenish its stocks. OnePlus has also announced that it would not release the new OnePlus X soon.
