The latest update for No Man's Sky has been released, and Game Developer Hello Games rolled it out with patch notes.

According to the game's official website, Hello Games exec Sean Murray provided a long list of updates, and some of the most important additions and fixes are below:

  • Rule changes in the universe generation algorithm such as in environments, galaxy shapes, planets and more

  • New paths which can be followed in the game which need a fresh save as early choices have an effect on what can be seen later on

  • New diverse creatures

  • New sky and atmosphere variations

  • New extreme hazards, dust storms and dead moons

  • New ships for every star system

  • Deeper trading that star systems and planets do not have needs and wants depending on galactic economy

  • New storage for ship inventories

  • New use for shielding shards with regard to survival

  • New feeding and diet for creatures depending on the planet

Murray also mentioned that players who accessed the leaked copy would have a different environment post-update. He also hinted at what players can expect from the next update. This includes the ability to build giant space freighters and bases. Game changers and several visual enhancements can also be expected.

There have been information leaks in the game. While the new update would not wipe out a gamer's progress, players who use YouTube for broadcasting the game should probably think twice this time. Sony is allegedly issuing copyright strikes against YouTube personalities who disseminate details about the game. Reports indicate that some have already received take-down notices. The PC version of No Man's Sky PC is expected to be released on Aug. 12.
