Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vernee is reportedly working on a new concept for its upcoming phone's antenna design.
Several reports have confirmed that the upcoming Vernee Mars will have its antennas embedded on the upper and lower side of the back of the phone. The antennas will also feature a curved arc design, and will be differently colored. The antenna design was introduced by the Meizu on its Meizu Pro 6 back in April, and if leaked renders are true, the upcoming Apple iPhone 7 will most like sport the same antenna design as well.

According to a recently released photo, the Vernee Mars appears to have its arc antennas contouring the lower and upper edges on the back of the phone. The dark gray color of the antennas also compliments the silver color of the Vernee Mars, according to Giz China.
While this new antenna design is yet to be adopted by major smartphone manufacturers, tech analysts believe that the design is more effective compared to current and more conventional ones. Some analysts believe that once the iPhone 7 hits the market with the same antenna design, more and more smartphone manufacturers will follow suit.
The Vernee Mars is expected to sport a powerful MediaTek Helio P20 chipset with 6GB of memory. The Helio P20 has two sets of quad-core processors, one of which has a clock speed of 2.3GHz while the other one is still unknown, according to WCCF Tech.
